Check the Readme.txt file and make sure your hardware specs is above the minimum requirements for the game.

Yes check to see if you have the requirements, if you do try reinstalling the game. OIf you still have the same issue, ill look further into it.

update

ok dont know alot about computers, but, here goes i have a radeon xpress 200 video card, requirements say i need ati radeon 8500, radeon 9200, 9250 not supported.
i rerally dont know the difference!!! do i have what i need?

thanks again

Well xpress 200 is better than all that, so you should be able to play. But, then again they seem to have some issues on every graphic card except radeon 8500.9200 and 9250...Maybe it's because you've bought a pirate CD I donno.

The problem could be your video card though I agree with Game Master, the radeon xpress 200 was not designed for gaming but it should still be able to run (graphics wont look good though). Do you know how much memory your xpress 200 has?

Eeek I was thinking. Really I was!
My conclusion is that some of your hardware is dying. I haven't read your post till the end *shy, embarassed*. But what makes computer shut down?? Hardware problem only. There can be either of two problems: Hard Disk or Motherboard is going. I bet on Motherboard :P Please tell me how old is the computer? Any issues when starting computer ( slower turning on, clicking 5 times to open antivirus scan...). All that is important although I bought a machine 3 months ago and 2 months ago my Hard Disk died and I got another one ( warranty, big one ) and month and half ago my DVD/CD-ROM died...JeeeeeZ! hhhh

yeah i'd agreed with Shady, check the requirements of the game, and probably your hardware has issues too

Try, but that doesn't explain why does his computer keeps shutting down when he tries to play the game. I know, I had a terrible graphic card but still my comp wasn't shutting down because of it. Upgrade firmware will not fix his other hardware.

Yeah gamemaster is right, the problem doesn't come from softwares, it comes from the hardware.

well computer is about 2 years old. the above mentioned game is the only one i have a problem with. all other games work fine. computer starts up fine ( fast ).no problems with anti-virus. if i didnt name the game it is command & conquer tiberium wars. i also removed and reinstalled game 3 times and still same problem.

my friend has the same problem. it might be overheating, but who knows?

try not to make your armies too 1337.

Hmm...sth stinks here...I think your graphic card is maybe dying... bringing motherboard with it.

Stop giving him stupid answers, this isn't a sign that his motherboard is dying.

The problem could very well be that you need to update drivers. But the same article claims that updating drivers won't do much. You can give it a shot though.

Doing a quick google search, i found an article with 4 people claiming to have difficulties playing the game with the Xpress 200. So you might need to get a dedicated gpu
