I have 4 infected files, what to do?

I 4 infected files that I can't clean out. I run the scan and it says that delet action cannot be completed due to file being part of an archive.

These are the viruses,

Generic.peed.eml.103EA0D7
Trojan.Downloader.Zlob.ABGS
Trojan.Zlob.BYP
Trojan.Zlob.BYQ

I don't know how to bring up the logs for the scan??? I am useing BitDefender on XP OS.

Please download HijackThis.
  • Save HJTsetup.exe to your desktop.
  • Double click on the HJTsetup.exe icon on your desktop.
  • By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Hijack This.
  • Continue to click Next in the setup dialogue boxes until you get to the Select Additional Tasks dialogue.
  • Put a check by Create a desktop icon then click Next again.
  • Continue to follow the rest of the prompts from there.
  • At the final dialogue box click Finish and it will launch Hijack This.
  • Click on the Do a system scan and save a log file button. It will scan and then ask you to save the log.
  • Click Save to save the log file and then the log will open in notepad.
  • Click on "Edit > Select All" then click on "Edit > Copy" to copy the entire contents of the log.
  • Come back here to this thread and Paste the log in your next reply.
  • DO NOT have Hijack This fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.

Hmm...see, I didn't find anything so dangerous, and of course no sign of Trojans that were listed in your first post.
Download and Run ComboFix
If you already have Combofix, please delete this copy and download it again as it's being updated regularly.
Note: Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running. That may cause it to stall

Combofix should never take more that 20 minutes including the reboot if malware is detected.
If it does, open Task Manager then Processes tab (press ctrl, alt and del at the same time) and end any processes of findstr, find, sed or swreg, then combofix should continue.
If that happened we want to know, and also what process you had to end.
So, in the next post I want ComboFix log and fresh HijackThis log.

GM, I want to thank you for all your help in regards to this, but I think I am going to upgarde the OS to Vista, it is just too much trouble for my feeble mind at this point. I want to learn more about this stuff and I would love to have your help in the future and I don't want you to use your time or go through any trouble just when I will be starting from scratch. Thanks.

You are making a big step, upgrade to Vista.
Are you sure your computer has good enough system specs for it? It's a great OS that requires fast CPU and enough RAM ( At least 2GB ). Also who can guarantee that you won't have issues on Vista too?
I don't tell you this because I don't want you to upgrade to Vista, I'm telling you this because you have to be prepared no matter what happens. It's relatively new OS.

Thanks for the advise on Vista, however I have been using it on my two laptops for about 6 months problem free. I just don't see where everyone is having problems, disable a few of the things you don't need and it performs way better than XP, actually it performs better straight out of the box.:P
The system I am upgrading on should be fine with 4 gig of RAM which I will upgrade to 8 or 16 depending on how I feel the day I buy Vista, which will be probably next week(mother board can handle 16g). it is also running a Core 2 Duo E4300 @ 2.97ghz, which I feel could be upgraded to the quad core Intel Core 2 Extreme. I am not that knowledgable on PC's but I am doing my best to learn.:)
