When im playing cs 1.6 sometimes the computer locks up so i have to restart.
Is it because i overclocked the proc too much? or graphic card? thank you

Games love to lock up despite the version of drivers installed for video and sound alike. XP is obviously the version of Windows there. With Vista the ctrl-alt-del combo brings up a new type of blue screen with the options to shutdown, end program, etc. there to get you back to the desktop. Generally video and sound drivers turn out to be the culprit however unless you are seeing a specific error message on a blue screen.

I dont have vista. The game just freezes on that frame and im forced to restart.

A driver for the game itself could be seeing problems if nothing else is locking on you. 50C even while ocing is not the ideal while a look at everything running in the background would be another idea. Antivirus and firewall programs will cause problems when gaming.

With the older ATI driven AGP models the catalyst control center often had to be shutdown when going to game. If the driver set is too new for the model video card there that can also explain things.
