which is a better grpahics upgrade??

Inno3D Geforce 8500GT 800MHz 512MB Graphics Card - I-8500GT-H4F4D

or

Xpertvision 256MB GeForce 8600GT TV/2XDVI PCI-E

i dont have my motherboard detials with me right now ( im in college) but i do know it runs a nvidia 7300GT 512MB.

is it possible to SLI these graphics? if so how?

also, i might want a new processor... my one is AMD athlon64 dual core 2000+

what should i upgrade to? i mainly use amazon for buying pc upgrades and i dont want to spend more than £70

thank you

According to your processor i would say that you have a Socket A board and you won't be able to sli with that because they only have AGP or standard pci slots.
You would need a new processor, then a new motherboard, then new ram, then a new gpu and then a new psu. It's up to you, what do you want to do?
It's going to cost you more than £70.

nffc is wrong, its definately not socket A, as its an Athlon 64, and to top that its a dual core. Recheck the model number (like +4000), since there is no +2000. You can sli if you have the right motherboard, but it is a huge waste of money and is a marketing scheme. You would rather get one great than 2 mid range.

so if i want to get the best out of my computer with a new graphics card, get a new one? lol

i'll post my actual specs when i get home tonight or tomorrow... im not etirely sure what motherboard i have. but have recent;y added a gig of ram.

well, when i built my computer i had to upgrade my motherboard from the basic to something a little higher... and as for the processor.. i know its in the low 2xxx series and it is dual core... im not looking to spend ALOT but one of the 2 cards at the top would be nice.. and if its possible to SLI my current and a new one that would be a bonus

So therefore if he got the model number, then he might have got the dual core part wrong.

so does that mean I can use one of the graphic cards I want to buy providing it all is compatible. I am wanting to buy a new processor too, just not all at once

ok well heres the important stuff i ghuess:
