iTunes and Vista

You guessed it, they aren't working together, and I don't know why.

This comes up when I open it.

It worked last week, and I haven't changed anything really that would make it do that. lol

Any ideas?

I already uninstalled and reinstalled, and tried doing a repair installation too.

Whenever I get these problems, I navigate to the registry and delete the existing registry entries for iTunes. And do a fresh install.

This is not recommended, but it works for me most of the time.

Uninstall iTunes, and run the registry cleaner CCleaner

Then reinstall. I wouldn't mess with the registries manually.

Funny you said that, thats what I just did

I ran Crap cleaner, then I checked the registry, and there wasn't anything left. Then I restarted, and ran Crap cleaner again. There was nothing, then I installed iTunes.

And it still dosent work

I've been searching the web, and I found out that my Ace mega codecs pack may have messed it up because it modifiys quicktime, so i uninstalled them both, and then put just itunes back in. But it didnt work...

Quick question for you guys, does itunes run without quicktime? Becuase even after uninstalling the modified quicktime and apple quicktime and itunes, running a registry cleaner, and just installing quicktime by itself, it still wont work. So if itunes relies on quicktime, then thats probabally why it's not working.

BTW I tried a system restore last night.. Did nothing..

This is starting to get really confusing. Still no answers on the Apple tech support forums either.

Has anyone else had this problem with quick time? I'm about ready to just format to XP.
