My friend just bought a new Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse 2000, with a Microsoft Wireless Mouse Receiver v1.0. I learned that there's a conflict between Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse 2000 and Windows XP screensaver, which is wired since both the mouse and the OS are both made from Microsoft. My question is is there any solution to these problem? Thanks for your help:D.

Are any media programs running that would prevent the idoling process? itunes or the downloading of music? Or is he simplying running nothing and the screen saver still will not work? If this is the case i'd say it is just a hardware issue with a very minimal downfall. I wouldn't worry about it.

And if he is concerned, have him call the tech people at logitech, im sure they would know what to do.

Holy cow! Logitech now fix microsoft mice? Damn, I thought that wasnt for another couple of years!

Seriously, call up microsoft tech support or something. Why does it matter though, its a flippen screensaver, unless he has a 20 year old monitor it doesnt actually save your screen anymore.

Hey tell me one thing have you made the screen saver while something is downloading or a media file is running??

No there's no media programs running and the problem is a conflict between her Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse 2000 and her Windows XP screensaver.

Because my friend wants her screensaver to run, when she's not using it.

No, problem is between Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse 2000 and Windows XP screensaver.

Here's what Microsoft support center has to say about the conflict: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/913405

I'll try microsoft's solution, but I was wondering if there are any other solutions to this problem?
