Only mobo's I know is the P31, P35, X38, X48, and I'm not sure about the 780i's.

Overpriced, & expensive. Wait a few years till we can really use it, then buy it.

i guess personally i would rather get a e8400 and spend the rest on the graphics and ram , i mean that processor costs almost as much as my tower

Your motherboard chipset does not support the Yorkfield processors. It does support the Wolfdales (dual-cores), though. CPU Support List

The 9650 and 9450 are the same type of chip, so no your motherboard will not be able to support it.

I'd never buy a processor at that price personally, i'll wait til my C2D is struggling enough and then buy a reasonably high end processor, i never go for the top dogs, not even with graphics cards.
