Help Urgent With My Motherboard

it has two ram slots.ONE of them is filled with a 2 gb ram card and there is one left.If i add one more ram card what will happen will my computer go fast or stay the same or blow up

That board doesn't even support a 2gb stick in one slot. It only supports a 1gb stick in each slot for a total of 2gb max supported. Does windows read all 2gb or just 1gb?
