Ever Max out the Score in Super Mario World?

i always wanted to do that..

but i played it on a console not under an emulator, and the score and lives were not saved.

Yes, with an emulator I was able to save my progressive score. When you save your progress on the console the score resets to zero when you turn it off as you know. The maximum lives you can also get is 99 in Super Mario World.

You talking about the original, for regular Nintendo?

This is Super Mario World, not Super Mario Brothers. Super Mario World was created for the Super Nintendo Console. Super Mario Brothers was for the Nintendo Console. Super Mario Brothers score flipped when you hit 1 million points.

Super Mario World was the fourth video game created in this sequence:

Mario Brothers
Super Mario Brothers
Super Mario Brothers 2
Super Mario Brothers 3
Super Mario World

you are using an emulator and that won't count sorry to say, as with an emulator you can mainpulate the game in any way u want, not fair.
i once got 99 lives in sonic the hedgehog but via an emu, normal on a console i'd go 20

I didn't manipulate the game in anyway in order to get this high score. I do admit that I saved the game at certain points to get thru the really hard levels, but I did not play with the settings in anyway in order to get numerous lives or the highest score possible.

It's very easy to get numerous lives in Super Mario World. On some levels you can get twelve lives per play.

also there was a quick way to get to the final boss in less than ten minutes. using the road stars

this was the first snes game, am I wrong??

ah the save and re-load option is the trick, thats what i was talking about, i did the very same in sonic. save often, load again if i fail to reach the hidden life box

I didn't use the save and reload option very much. Only on about four or five levels that were quite difficult out of around thirty-five levels.

OK, I've done an experment. Using ArtMoney, I've generated myself max points, and I can still play but the score remains the same. I don't know what's the point, but I guess it's hard and almost impossible to gain such a score before you even pass the game. I still suspect you cheated.

I don't think he cheated... super mario world is an easy game... if you run short of lives, you can always go back to early and easier leves and get more lives..
I never saw the "game over" thing on that game...

and using save states is the same as leaving the console turned on for days with the game paused, so you can have a break... as was mentioned before, this game does not save the score, so the only way to get that huge score is by not turning off the console (or using save states on an emulator)

by the way, there was an unofficial nes conversion... it is too good to be a nes game...

At least Konzerte believes me. Why in the world would I post up that I got to maximum points in Super Mario World and lie about it? It's something so stupid to lie about.

And Konzerte is right. Super Mario World is a pretty easy game. You can always go back to the easier levels and get more and more points and lives. One of the levels in the Star World is very short and you can get at least 24,000 points in two minutes. This is where I scored a whole lot of my points.
