p.s.
ive always been an amd guy and i dont know much about intel. which is the way to go and stay within the rough budget i have here ($750ish). also, is it worth upgrading to the new gpu or should i go sli with my old card, 7900 gt.

+1! How did it get that cheap?! Darn! I would have gotten that than my 3850 :(

haha, no idea. was just looking around here and there and saw it. had to blink a couple of times before i was sure what i was looking at, and then i jumped on it immediately :D the eVGA 8800gt is also on sale for like 219.99 (but tax/shipping not included)

greeeeeeeeeat deals

I agree with him. If you can stretch your wallet a tad further you can get the new E8400 C2D for $220, but if not the E6750 is great too.

If he got a 8400 he would have to get a motherboard other than the P35

With a $750 budget, stay with maroon1's build

he wouldnt need another motherboard. A p35 would run an e8400 fine according to people that have wrote reviews on the gigabyte p35 ds3l

what i dont understand is why on earth these computers are all supporting 1600 fsb's if the wolfdales actually only use 1333???
