thats tough but i would say mmm the top one cos of the extra ram the processer on the to one is about 10% better but yet u could just buy the bottom one overclock the processor a bit an fork a bit more money out of your pocket an get the extra ram thats probly what i would do my self but after saying this im not sure if you want to buy one of them or just wondring

yer i am trying to see what one is better for me to get it.
And the 2.computer has 2GB of ram.
RAM 1GB 240PINS DDR2, 667MHz (Times 2) so that times 2 (2GB)

im not sure what over clock means?
And how much better is the 2nd one considering there about the same price what is the 2nd one offering more?

i dont see why you would go the second one... the first one has the same ram and way better cpu and faster od.

how much gaming do you do? the only disadvantage of the top one is the 256 mb 8600gt.

if you love your gaming then downgrade the cpu and get a better graphics card. but if you dont game then the top one is good.

yeah i want it mainly for playing games and doing normal things like downloading music, videos, pictures, clips and games and stuff.
But i want it to be good for gaming.
Is it alright for basic games like cod 2, cs, battlefeild,
Warhammer online (when it comes out)
other mmorpg and some other fps. Is it alright for that?

yeah should be find cs doesnt need much... battlefield should be fine too. how are you buying this? prebuilt from a local store? or online?

At a shop. i went in and told him i need a new computer that will play most games but in a good price, and that i didnt need the best ever computer just one that will do its job and pritty good.
so will it do its job? and what bad or good about it.
its about $1000.

its about $1000.

You could get so much more from newegg.com by buying the parts yourself and having someone else like a friend put it together or do it yourself it's really not hard to do. or have that shop put it together or something. 1000$ for either is a little over priced..

I'm guessing the 512MB 8600GT is GDDR2 and the 256MB 8600GT is GDDR3 so if that's the case I'd go for the top one considering beside that they're about equal.
