i asked this earlier and i wanted to make sure you got the full specs. i dont yet have a computer but i was planning on building one somewhere in the next 2 weeks. i want to get a core 2 duo@ 2.2Ghz and an 800FSB. the RAM im getting is DDR2 800(2 x 1GB) 2GB of RAM. iwas was wondering whether i should get a worse processor or less RAM.... (to save money);)

if you are only using the computer for daily tasks go with more ram. if you plan on gaming its wise to invest in a better processor and more memory down the road. my wifes computer is a several year old athlon 64 3000+ socket 754. its a few years old but still has more than enough guts to handle daily tasks. you dont need a super-mega processor to run everyday programs. i would also recommend a low end video card. even the average low cost add on nvidia or ati is much better than integrated. they also use their own memory instead of robbing the system of physical memory. if you want to go on the cheap i would recommend a mainstream single core athlon, stay away from low end celerons/semprom processors. the sempron is better than a celeron but a athlon 64 is much more money than the sempron. celerons are bottom of the barrel crap.

P31 Mobo
2GB pqi Turbo
Rosewill Aftermarket Cooler ($12).

That's what I got, and using stock thermal paste, got it up to 3.07GHz ;)
