What is the best case for air cooling?

I was thinking about the coolermaster cosmos 1000 case but from what I have read it is not as good for cooling as some other comp. cases. I am not sure about water cooling as this will be my first build ever.(I have replaced a Psu,Graphic cards, and optical drives before though).

What is the best air cooled mid tower?

What is the best air cooled Full tower?

I guess I could always add water cooling later if I went with the full tower case if I felt adventurous. The Build I want to make will be a gaming/ multimedia comp though so I dont think the case should be small where high end parts might not fit though.

Water cooling will not be necessary unless you want to overclock or you are concerned with silencing. Just look for a case with a front and rear fan (will also have the rear PSU fan) and that has possibly a top vent/fan and side vent for additional fans. You can also put in a nice aftermarket CPU cooler for great cooling.

The number of fans isnt everything either. Nice cable management and good airflow (maybe a Zalman cooler on your cpu) will do you fine.

I will probably be OC'ing the Proc. As i look through the reviews on Newegg though it seems the is a big difference in the amount of cooling some cases have.I know the 900 ranks high from what I have read from posts on this site.People like the looks to it seems. The most important attribute for me would cooling followed by upgradeability then maybe looks.I figure those reviews could vary though if the person was having a bad day or one of the parts they got was DOA...;)

Antec 900 seems good. It was like $80 or something with a rebate a little while ago. Now it is back up to over $100 :( . I think it is a good design. Allot of people do not like how the psu is on the bottom

Yeah it seems like a really good case from what I have read..The only thing that makes me hesitate on it though is cable management is supposed to be really hard with it and some of the 8800 cards like the gtx and ultra just barely fit. So I dont know how good it would be for a 2nd build or upgradeable in the future

Antec 900 all the way! Its really nice for air cooling, dropped my temps about 10*C. The Cable managment is fine for me. But a modular PSU would come in handy. My 8800GT fits fine (I know its not one of the beefier cards but it fits very nicely)
