eVGA 8800GTS (G92) for $259 after MIR on newegg

Oh my god that's cheap. Does anyone know if there are any differences between the US and British versions of these cards?
That's about half the price it is here, and even after shipping it would still be incredibly cheap.

There shouldn't be any difference, just different heatsink designs and such. Newegg doesn't ship outside of the USA though.

And you are converting the price from USD right?

Pretty sure - 8800GTS here is around 240 GBP.
1 USD = 0.51 GBP
259 USD = 139.086 GBP
Not quite half but damn cheap for us Brits :eek:

So do you forsee any problems with it working with my MoBo (bought in England) if I ordered one from the US?

Of course then the extra shipping charges and taxes would offset the savings, unless someone sent it as a gift valued at $20 or something.
 
I'm seriously thinking about trying to find a US site that ships to the UK.
I will do some more research into the differences (if any) between the US and European versions of this card.
I was wondering about the power supply here, isn't it 60hz here and 50hz in the US or something?
 
That's an amazing deal! To think I bought my HD3870 for only $10 less. :(

Not saying the HD3870 is bad, but you all know the 8800GTS is way better!
