hey i installed everything to my motherboard, i have no manual because it didnt come with one, i dont know where to stick the power switch wires. because of this, i feel very nervous connecting wires to stuff i dont know about...

its an msi p6n diamond and i really want to get it up and running, i can finally say that i have the rig in my sig

Look at the connector and look for a place on the mobo that looks like it plugs in. honestly there should only be so many places it would actually plug in to

not really, there are quite a few spots where i could plug a little two-pronged plug into. other things i cant find spots for are the reset button wires and the HDD led wires.

thats a bummer i wish i knew how to help. i have a pretty lame suggestion though. You buy the same motherboard from newegg brand new get the i/o sheild, manual and then return it and they can sell it as open box...

ok, i have some new info. by sheer luck, i was watching a video on youtube, one of those tigerdirect video's on how to install a motherboard. guess what???? THEY USED MY MOTHERBOARD!

so now i know where it is, its a small unmarked spot, and it was right in front of me the whole time. so now i have it hooked up right, but im still having problems...

now the computer will seem to try and start, but it will not. the northbridge fan budges and i hear a high-pitched sound for a second, and then nothing... the psu fan does nothing, neither does the cpu fan. all is hooked up well now, cpu, ram, cpu power, 20+4 mobo connector, power to the video card, everything... anyone know whats happening now?

dead psu would be terrible right now O.O
im sorry youre not having much luck with your build, but we'll help ya through it :)
