help, annoying laptop mouse

i recently reinstalled windows on my laptop, ever since my mouse has been annoying. It tends to click stuff and open it just by gliding over it (not always, but randomly). I reinstalled the original driver "synaptics pointing device". Does anyone know if this has to do with a setting i can fix. If so please let me know, thanks.

Yeah,,go to start>control panel>mouse

adjust settings from there.
 
No worries,,if that does not work,,go online and type in your model number and the word mouse and see if anyone else online has had the same problem.You may find someone with a solution already posted on another message board.

I fixed a computer the other day with a nortons thing that would not go away by typing in nortons 2004.
 
fixed it, i had to select tap to click in the settings of my original driver, i was unable to find this option in the settings for the generic driver from microsoft.
