Is that like crappy RAM or something?

All the other 8 gigs on Newegg are $250+

That is good RAM, it's not cheap value RAM. However it's out of stock so it's really not an option unless it comes back into stock soon.

If you're low on cash then why are you looking at getting 8GB of RAM? 4GB of RAM is more then enough by todays standards.

BTW, are you running a 64 bit OS?
