Ordering some things and waiting for others?

I'm in a bit of a quandary. I'm finally ready to start ordering all of my components, but the E8400 is nowhere to be found. So this makes me wonder if it's wise to order everything else right now.

On the one hand, I won't have to worry about anything else going out of stock if I order now. But if it takes too long for the E8400 to get back in stock, the return period for the other items might elapse.

Any advice?
 
I am sort of in the same situation. I have received everything except for the processor, the e8400. What I am worried about is the rebates. I don't want to mail in the rebates until I know everything is working fine but I can't do that until I get a processor. But the rebates have to be postmarked 12 days from the purchase date.

I am trying to get a used one off of ebay. I am kinda off leary about buying a used processor though.

I do have it ordered through Tigerdirect but they are on backorder so who knows how long it will be. This really stinks.

Yeah, good point about the rebates too.

I checked on TD for it but it's not even listed now! Seriously, how could Intel run out of these things!?
 
I have been looking around trying to find it and Zipzoomfly.com has it but they want 280 bucks for it.
