Vista fresh install

I had a laptop that I recently sold.I formatted the drive before I sold it and did not re-install vista.

Will I be able to use that Vista Lic number in my next computer rebuild????

Umm...yea. The sucker u sold it too needs to buy his/her own version of vista. But what happened w/ me was that i had a compaq. I decided to switch out the mobo and processor and kept the case. My mobo had to be tatooed to work witht eh recovery disks before they worked. ehh, forget it, its to long of a story lol. But yea u can use it. I dont about the legalitiues though. And if it doesnt work, call up micorosoft, most likely ull be callin a call center in India,and tell them that u had to switch out the mobo or something, they should giv u another key.

It was sold with no OS.Have no clue what OS he was going to install.
