i drilled 2 holes in my dvd drive.

towards the front.

thing is, it works fine. i cant see any damage on the tray and it burns fine and reads fine.

possible i just hit the outer shell and went through the holes in the tray?

the drill went all the way through the drive... top to bottom.

should i worry? or just role with it?

open it up, and make sure you dint drill through any wires, or boards, if you drilled through any wire(s), either tape them or solder them back togeter, if you went through a board, and you know the spot, should have something connecting, then, idk
for now, just keep using it until it dies
how big was the drill bit?

dont ask lol..... i should have but i was just off a 12 hour shift, didnt sleep in 2 days and went to work on the new case

as above... pure stupidity. i forgot one piece of wood, and the screw was long enough to go through it. if i had remembered the wood piece, it would have been fine and wouldnt have touched the drive.....

the drill went off the wall when i realised what happened
lucky the drill works fine too.

as for the board and cables, after stripping the dvd drive, it looks perfect.
