The poor OP just doesn't know which way to turn when you two get together. 
I just love your posts for the entertainment value but to be honest PCeye confuses me with his explanations cos I start reading it and then give up half way through whereas Sirkenin lays out his opposing post quite coherently.
Even if I end up confused it brings a smile to my face

Someone is simply picking up where he left off in 2006 that's all. He isn't happy until he can trash an entire thread.
I think what's important is that people figure out what kind of a fraud PCeye is. We've been confronted with the post count defense. We've been ambushed by off-topic Google results, irrelevant screenshots, useless drivel, nonsensical ramblings, misdirections, strawman arguments etc.
This stupidity continues unabated. There's no stopping it. So, rather than stopping it one can only show everyone else that a certain person is out to lunch, thus taking away the audience.
It is good for a laugh every once in a while. It's good that people are entertained. A little geek humour never hurt anyone.
He will always have his fan club.. Misery loves company. Ignorance is bliss. Leave them to be swallowed up by the mire that is the ignorance they so eagerly embrace. When the smoke clears, when they've wasted countless hours and dollars following the nonsense they'll see the alternative to be much more appealling.
Even if he carries on, people will rightly assess it as the useless drivel that it is and ignore it, rather focusing on getting actual relevant solutions to their problems, which seems to me is the whole point of this board. 5 posts of crap, 14,000 posts of crap. It's not the size of the pile, it's the smell.

After all, I'm sure it was really nice for you the last year, building up a beefy post count of crap, nonsensical drivel and useless pictures, quotes and links and not having anyone call you on it. I'm sure you enjoyed it very much. The question would be whether it was good for the health of the board?

What I see is a guy backed into a corner and frantically looking around, throwing anything he can find lying around him to ward off the inevitable. Obsession of what? The only thing I'm obsessed with is the truth. The facts. A passion for this industry that drives me, motivates me, that desire to help people. To take what I know and use it for the collective good.
If anything, it's out of my respect to others, the desire to aid in their success, their quest for knowledge, that I strive to protect them from people such as yourself, a Google-hack/fraud hiding behind a post count. Yes, I'm sure there are those that will side for you. Where you look at that as a good thing, a layer on your armour, from the outside I look at it as sad, an indicator that yes, in fact, some people have been sucked in.
What I see in you is someone disruptive to the learning process. An obstacle in the collective quest for knowledge. A door, as opposed to a window. A hinderance, as opposed to a help. There's no lack of respect for anyone but you. I don't respect you. I don't respect your methodology. I think you're a loser. I think you're a have-not, know-not has-been. The one thing I'm not, PCeye, is jealous or resentful.

"not having anyone call you on it." is quite a false statement there. But then you wouldn't actually know some of the things I know.

The first was HardForums. The second was Techguy.
Neither could handle my blunt, in your face approach. Kyle was happy maintaining the status quo, which is fine. That's his right. I've exchanged a couple of emails with him since, actually. From that email exchange, which had nothing to do with the forum posts, I realized that Kyle really wasn't the guy I first thought he was.. In fact he's a bit of a wanker. However, I now understand his motivation. Too many people were offended by my being "in their face" and calling them on the nonsense, the fanboyism, the drivel. It's easier to rid the one, as opposed to dealing with the many. On a message board you back the majority of the population, as posts/content are king. I learned that a long time ago, as I've owned communities and chat rooms of my own.
Techguy was once more the in-your-face approach. Some people just can't handle it. I'm one of those "no-bs" people. A person who is straight-forward and honest, who spares no bones about telling it like it is. I'm not worried about it.

Try a few live for cd distros first to see which you would go with before making changes there. ubuntu 7.10 is pretty good for one.
Meanwhile did you hear any background noise just then?
