what do you think about this psu?

The reviews quoted on that site are a total joke. "Check out that fan" or "modular cables" or "big heatsink" do not a quality PSU make. All garbage reviews. Since the reputable websites, known for their PSU reviews, are not quoted, my hunch is that the PSU is another generic mediocre unit with a pretty box and an overly excessive price tag. I'd take an Antec at that price any day over that one.

agreed. either buy an antec or get a coolermaster like mine:D

Agreed on the quoted reviews. These units are rebadged Andyson, though, so the build quality should be OK. The rated +12V@37A is very low for a 650W unit. Newegg's price of $124.99 is absolutely ridiculous, though, IMO it's not worth anything close to that.

I'd look elsewhere as well.

Where abouts do you live? Do you live in America? If so take a look at newegg's psu's: http://www.newegg.com/Store/SubCategory.aspx?SubCategory=58&name=Power-Supplies

Also supply us with your computer specifications so we can pick the right power supply for you.

Your current system don't need a big PSU. 350W - 400W is still OK.
If u looking for upgrade later. OCZ GameXStream 700W is a good choice as it is $90 with MIR, although you may not need 700W

i realy dont what ill need in the long run havent decided how far i wanna take this machine but as the psu goes i know i want enough wattage to cover anything i may decide to do and id also like it to be modular i dont like sloppy looking wiring so i only want to use what i need

as far potential upgrades later on heres what my mobo supports 6 sata devices 2 ide devices up to 8gb ddr2 core 2 quad with a 1066 fsb 10 usb 2 firewire 1 each pci-e 16x and 1x 2 pci think thats about it as far as hardware capabilities. doubt ill ever max it out with hardware but ya never know personaly cant see what id ever need 8gb of ram for. also its hard to say if this is mobo im going to stick with so fa its been very stabile what i dont like is it seems to generate alot of heat since i installed this board .

Like i said before im open to all suggestions on improving what i have but psu is where i want start . the one im current running is an allied and just looking at it it seems very cheaply made . another ive been considering is here http://www.raidmax.com/specs/volcano.htm i know this would be a better one but the cost is more than i want to spend at the moment unless i come across one ebay cheap ive always buit my systems for very cheap sometimes even completely free at the moment im still under the 400 dollar mark which for what i have and the fact that everything is new sept psu cpu 1gb mem and keep in mind 400 dollars is in total from the first system i built just a total of what ive spent on hardware and im now on my 5th rig yeah i am cheap LOL
