Just finished my new build

hey guys, i just got my new pc put together and it is the first time i did this. all i did was hook everything new in and kept all my old hard drive and didnt change n e thing. it dont really seem any better than my old one. am i suspost to re install windows or n e thing like that when you do a new build?

What are you most using the computer for?

maybe your old harddrive is cluttered with unwanted/hidden files that you didnt catch it and possible slowing you down?

You cannot swap hard drives and expect them to work perfectly. You will need to reformat your computer... if not, repair the existing OS.

ya my sig is up to date. my old specs where: win xp pro, 1gb pc3200, pentium d dual 2.66, x800xt pe, 320gb HDD. i just reinstalled a fresh copy of windows and its working a lot better now. i use it mostly for gaming and music. i play Americas Army.
