Possible installation method?

That depends on the case you are putting it into. Most cases see the bottom fan facing down since the supply is at the top rear. The Antec 900 case is one where you turn the supply upside down to see the bottom fan facing upward being that the supply is installed at the bottom of the case.

With the standard atx supply you mount them upright or upside down regardless of top or bottom of case while most will face the bottom towards the center rather then having it facing the narrow air space. When looking through the different views you will note that the fan is not visible when looking at the rear/side views of the supply when it's normal position with the make, model number, and other information displayed.

Ohh I hadn't noticed that. My bad, yeah it would seem that its mean to be that way, thank you all.

Generally cases that have the PSU mounted on the bottom will be able to mount the powersupply up-side-down or right-side-up. However, in most cases, you want to mount it with the 120mm facing down, as the other way will (like PC eye said) restrict the air the fan can draw from.

Yeah, I see what you're saying. I was wondering if it could be installed in a different position because i thought that the 120mm would be facing up with |--| that much space between it and the case; thus no air to breathe. But now that you both pointed out the fact that its meant to be in a normal state with the fan facing down then it's all good.

Don't feel bad. Sometimes people throw a supply in upside down and don't even realize it until later when having to read the print upside down and saying a few words at having to re-open the case up! :P

Some pretty dumb people since a P/S screw holes wont line up upside down. Another one of your stories?

Where do you come up with that crap unless you are still running an old Dell? Some have the supplies on an Antec 900 with the fan facing down while most will flip it upward to allow the intake. Standard atx supplies used.

You are a noob, on a Antec 900 case the screw holes are universal in the bottom so you can mount the P/S that way. In standard cases with the P/S on the top the screw holes are standard not universal. You cant tell me you ever noticed the screw holes on a P/S are not in the same place just so you cant mount it wrong or the holes wont match up.

Standard case, notice the P/S screw holes are not in the same place in all four corners, the top left hole is higher and to the left.

Antec 900 with bottom P/S, notice the screw holes are universal so you can mount the P/S upside down or right side up.

The top two screw hole are not in the same place as they are in the bottom plus the left top hole is even to the inside and higher, so you cant mount it upside down in a top mounted case.

Apparently you are under the impression that the 900 is the only case that sees universal mounting. Wake up! This isn't the 90s any more.

You are a complete waste of time, period! You can fool noobs with your rambling on B/S nonsence. No mostly all bottom mount P/S cases have universal holes, (but thats not the case here, like you always try to side track the issue when you make a stupid comment!) On Cases where the (P/S mounts in top of the case) you cant mount it upside down because the holes are not universal in (top mounted cases) the holes will not line up. This is my last post in this thread because you are a waste of time.

Besides the rare bottom mounted PSU cases, and maybe a few micro-atx shoe-box cases, almost all other cases allow you only to mount the PSU one way
