The Q6600 is the better choice. I can't really see any argument for the Q9300. You can OC the Q6600 to 2.5 with a stock cooler.

If given the choice between a Q9300 and Q6600, I would choose the Q6600. It's up to you whether or not you want to purchase and wait for the Q9450.
I'll have to wait about 14 days for my PSU and Ram aswell .

There's absolutely no difference between the two (comparison), unless you get the X48T. The X48T is a DDR3 board. I'm posting newegg links for reference only; I know you're not buying fron that site.
Then I will deffinately save the money and get the X38 instead.

Really? The 3870x2 from what I've heard was manufactuered to go against nVidia's GTX...
The 3870 X2 price point would suggest that, but it performs much better than the GTX (for me, anyway). In fact, better than two of 'em. As you know, my SLi setups seemed to underperform, so I can only speak from my personal experience.
