Password Protect Folder

Hi guys is there any way in Windows XP Professional to password protect a folder? Basically I do not want anyone to be able to access it unless they have the password and the folder cannot be deleted. What I mean by this is if someone decides to delete the folder it will not allow them to because they do not have the password or something like that. I remember seeing a free program that will encrypt and also password protect the folder however I do not recall what the name is. Another thing, this program has to be free.

Thanks

You can try Folder Castle software by MagneticSoft. Folder Castle is a security tool that protects your files and folders with a password, preventing unauthorized users from accessing them. Folder Castle hides and encrypts your confidential and sensitive files and folders on your computer.
This tool has simple interface and it is very easy to use.

It gets annoying but it saves alot of space! Can cut the space of files in half depending on the file type. Winrar is great though!!

Use winrar!! Works great!!

That's what i would do mate, however everytime you need something you'll need to extract it first.:o

Yes that is what is annoying about it

Yeah, it might but everytime you want something you have to extract it, and then depending on how big the rar file is, depends how long it will take to extract.

Doesnt actually take too long for me! I just extracted a 90mb folder of pics and it took about 1min or less! 700mb plus files take a little bit though!
