XP Question?

I dont have my orginal product keys so I use some off the net. When I have to reformat I never get to register obviously. Is there any way ( besides RE-buying the xp cd) to get missing files or w/e comes with the "updates". There is some software I cant download. I get like a "DLL" error or something like that.

Any help?

You can find a cracked OS. Your going to have to reformat regardless to get rid of the DLL error.

Get linux and WINE, they're both free. WINE is a windows emulator so you can run most of your windows apps. I think there was some XP-like linux distro, i think imsati knows the link to that website that lists all(most?) linux distros... i think it was distrowatch or something.

If you do NOT want to do it the legal way... too bad, go mad, we can't help

I say abandon the Windows World for good... if Windows acts up like this, it doesn't deserve your time, hard disk space, and money. I agree with hackapelite, get a Linux distro.

Windows has wronged me soooo many times...I left the Windows world and am not coming back (I might visit it every once in a while)

For what I know, WINE works well with most/many games. Not sure though, have a look at WineHQ's Application Database to see if your windows programs and/or games will work on linux.

Also, you might want to try Crossover Games if your games don't work with WINE. I'm not too familiar with it though, as a matter of fact I heard of it just now...
