my comp automatically turned off i realised the cpu overheated , and that the cpu fan has stopped, the cpu is fine, because system posts, but the cpu fan doesnt budge tried it in diff fan slots no luck any1 got any ideas?

no worries lads, it was the cpu fan that broke, i pulled out a super old comp wit a athlon xp 1.8 on it, pulled the fan of that and bodged it onto my heatsink lol and im back up and running lol

I would like to see fans that are larger and more powerful and are more durable.

You know those small DC motors commonly found in robotic toys, pocket fans, Dustbusters, etc? Those are the kind that would perform well--paired with more aerodynamic propeller blades, maybe even a "turbine" design.

We should see some rc motors!! I should do that to my pc as I have extra rc motorc laying around from my old rc truck (not toy rc but real hobby truck)!! Most of them run off a 7.2v battery and are connected to a speed control and the control is connected to a receiver. I could make it wirless!! LOL

Take in mind that older computers had slower fans and smaller heatsinks. Hopefully you only swapped the FANS.
