new computer...slow load issues

I just bought this computer a few weeks ago, and for some unknown reason, as the days go by it gets slower and slower on the web page load. Any web page I try to open and navigate thru, it takes almost a full minute for anything to load up....doesnt matter if the page has graphics or not. I clear the cache on a daily basis, temp int files and cookies. I have most all background process stopped, except the crutial needed ones. I have my firewall turned down to medium/low. Below are my pc specs.......

HP Pavilion a1700n
250 GB hard drive
1 GB DDR2 RAM
500 watt power supply
AMD Athlon 3800+ 64x2 dual core
on board NVIDIA GeForce 6150LE graphics
Windows Vista Home Premium (set to run at best performance)
cable internet....10mb/s

How do you clean your temporary internet files?
Clearing them from Internet Explorer is not enough.
Please use a tool such as CCleaner

If you have already done that, it could be that your computer is infected with malware.
They tend to slow down your system.

Please post a HijackThis log for us to review and help remove the malware residing in your computer.
Download the latest HijackThis version from http://www.trendsecure.com/portal/en-US/_download/HiJackThis.exe to a permanent folder such as My Documents.

After the download is complete, navigate to the folder where you have saved HijackThis.exe .

1) Double click on HijackThis to open the tool.
2) Close all other open windows and click on "Do a system scan and save a logfile".
3) After the scan is complete, please copy and paste your log here.

Thank you :)

i do the cache cleaning thru IE and i also use a cache cleaner....here are the hijackthis specs.....

Please read my post carefully.
It asks you to save HijackThis to a permanent folder such as My Documents.
Please create a new folder in My Documents, named, "Malware", and then move HijackThis to that folder.

It also looks like some of the malware is hiding from us.
Please rename HijackThis to something else like, "vzfox" and then scan and post a new log.

Thanks :D

Hi, it seems that you are running 3 instances of HijackThis.
Please press the following keys :

Ctrl+Shift+Esc and click on "Processes". Locate the following processes :

  1. HiJackThis.exe
  2. vzfox.exe
  3. vzfox.exe
and end all these processes by selecting them one by one and clicking on, "End Task".
Now, restart vxfox from your Malware folder and scan and post a new log/

Have you attempted to fix any entry using HijackThis?

Thanks :)

there were only 2 processes of hijackthis running and i ended them both....also made sure that "show processes from all users" was selected. this is my first time to use hijackthis for anything. every time you have me do this, it takes longer and longer for me to come back and post a reply....seems to be getting slower by the minute.
