Hello, basically i have 2 computers in my room, one plugged into my belkin wireless router (with 8mb connection) and the other connecting wirelessly with a 56kbps signal.Im a gamer, both me and my brother would like to play the same games at the same time, but theres one problem. The pc connected wirelessly disconnects from all games i try to play (not even high spec games) like after 10seconds of being online it just lags out.

My router is Belkin Wireless g+ router (connecting to the router using a belkin wireless stick)

Any help?

im not sure i get onto the website and request speed test near my area and it wont get going lol the meter wont move.

Anyway u said 56KBPS is really slow, but i thought at maximum on wireless you could get like 112KBPS, or atleast for my router.

Try pluging the wireless one in to the router. Check your wireless settings as well. You router may be going out, my netgear recently did the same thing. I bought a used Linksys router, works fine now.

Maybe 56mbps! On the website did you click on the yellow triangle so you could use that server?

On this website chose the location closest to your house and tell us the results of the test on each pc. Your wireless should be alot slower, obviously! If you want fast speeds you should go with a wired connection esp when your pc's are desktops b/c why is wireless necessary.

He means 54MPB/s... The highest I've seen is 108...

How fast the router can transfer wirelessly does not express that your internet connection is that fast.
