Interesting, didn't exactly read the EULA. So if you were to say scratch your Vista disc, you'd have to flat out buy another one, even though your key is still valid? Stupid Microsoft... I think it's safe to say when my disc gets munged up I won't be running out to buy another copy.
No, but you can make images and back ups of your original disc that can be used in its place.
yes, you are suppose to legally buy a new version if your disc gets damage, there is no warranty with Windows itself other than a 30 day period where you can return it if you don't like the product.
It is your responsibility to take care of it or at least make back ups of it.
