Problem with U3 Flash drive

My dad has a U3 flash drive and he's currently experiencing problems with it. When he puts the U3 flash drive into his PowerBook G4 it works fine, there's the memory area and the U3 things which appear as a disc with all the auto-run stuff. Now when he puts the flash into his IBM ThinkPad all that comes up is the U3 auto-run area in the CD Drive and he cannot access where all the files are, and if he tries to open the auto-run software it's just a never ending start-up. Can anyone help?

My friend has one of those and he is going to reformat it.. and get rid of the U3 so he can have it as one drive and it will work on his Mac.

The software is good if you only use it on a PC, but as soon it connects to a mac and PC, it stuffs up and reformat the drive.

i have a U3 drive too, 2GB.
I'm not sure you will need the U3 apps/utilities so just convert it to a normal usb drive.
After you've click on the U3 icon on taskbar, go to STATUS & SETTINGS, then go to REMOVE. this will make it a standard usb. so no more problemos :)

you talking about those types right ?
