I don't think the motherboard would support a P4.

Yeah Hey,

That motherboard will not support a Pentium 4. Your gonna max out at 1.0 GHz, or 1.3 ghz pentium 3.

If you have a cheap way of getting ahold of some parts (Combined price, less than 50)

1. Upgrade ram to 512MB PC100 SDRAM (That is the max your motherboard can support)
2. Upgrade CPU to 1.0 GHZ Pentium 3
3. Upgrade Hard Drive To something faster. This will help compensate for slower cpu and ram. 20-60GB IDE, 7200RPM, 8MB Cache minimum.
4. Upgrade Video card to a decent PCI card...Radeon 9200se PCI....or similar class
5. Load it up with Win 2000 Pro SP4. It will run much better than XP with your config

Remember, you don't want to spend much, so take your time and look for these, and slowly bring it up to snuff ...With that config, you could browse the net and use email, and play the odd video comfortably.

You can get a system that is 100x better than that for $399 at futureshop on sale, so I wouldn't spend more than like 40 bucks.
