question about two 6400 vs three 5300 seriers RAM chips

All right, I have three PC5300 1gb chips on my mobo right now. I bought two PC6400 800 1gbs the other day. Will the two PC6400 chips run faster and better than three PC5300? I know I shouldn't mix PC5300 with the PC6400. So, I'm looking for the best way to get as much speed out of this comp as possible. Any info will be appreciated.

Why would you buy less ram? I don't think 2gb will out preform 3gb's unless it's twice as fast.

Why not? Having more RAM will only make things faster if you are using it. If you don't use 2GB, putting 3GB in wont matter.

Well should I take one of the PC5300 667 sticks out and place the two PC6400 800 sticks in? I did it when I first built the box;but, I was told to either use the three pc5300 together or just the two pc6400. Something about messing up either the motherboard or the ram sticks. I did go a lot faster with both of them in at the same time. Four gigs does make a lot of difference and all. Yea.. But really should I mix them or buy two more pc6400 sticks?
