Anyone running OCZ Reaper DDR3?

Title says it all. Looking for some new ddr3 to go with my new evga 790i ultra sli.

I was about to order 4 gigs of this CORSAIR 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory

but it's out of stock as of this morning, and no ETA has been posted by newegg.

So, now I'm looking at 4 gigs of this instead OCZ Reaper HPC 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory

Main difference (besides price, which is actually comparable) is CAS timings. The OCZ is running 6-6-6-18 while the Corsair is way up to 9-9-9-24. That has to be significant, especially at this kind of memory speed, 1333. So, just wondering if anyone has any comments about this memory or why I shouldn't get it.

For reference...
evga 790i ultra sli
q6600
2X palit 8800 gt 1 gig sonic's (thats 2 gigs of vram with a huge factory OC)
700w OCZ power supply

Thanks.

Can anyone make sense of the cas timings for me? Will these OCZ chips be seriously quicker than the Corsairs?

Thanks

It would be faster, but idk if it would be noticable. BTW, when 2 cards are in SLI, it is not adding the vram together. It is still just 1gb.

Yeah, I know. I've had that discussion about the SLI vram about 100 times. haha.

So, I'm really looking for an expert opinion on the difference in the timings for these two chips. It seems that most ddr3 1333 timings are in the 9's wile these are 6's. At this kind of clock speed that has to be significant, right?

Let me know whats up. Basically I just want to see if it's worth the extra cash.

well im running my rig with Reapers, but they are not ddr3, they are ddr2. but these sticks are so damn good, i brought them up to ddr2 1200 before at 7-8-8-20

so i would go for the OCZ's wherever you can find them, they work awesome.

Ok, thats good to know thanks. If you're at 7-8-8-20 then 6-6-6-18 must scream at ddr3 1333.

I'll order them up when I get home then.

Thanks.
