I have a large file (PC game) downloaded to one of my computers it has two shortcuts (64 bit version and 32 bit version) each of which is about 665KB. I also have a folder of files for the game (about 7.8G!!!) how can I get the game from one of my computers to the other? I tried writing the shortcut icon for the game to a disc but when I put it in the other drive it said something about shortcut origin not found.

What can I do?

I'm not a genius with computers so simple or detailed instructions would be helpful.

Is the game installed on the computer you wish to transfer the game from. If so then you will not be able to transfer it as when you install a game it puts lots of files in places other than just the program folder. It would be nearly impossible to find and put all of said files in the correct places on a different computer.

yeah true, places such as registry but then again there are games that can be moved without re-installing, an example is GTA San Andres.

you can try your luck copying the game onto an external hard drive or an ipod maybe ;)? then paste it on the other computer.
Do not copy shortcuts, if after the copy the game does not run , then you will need to install it a fresh
