so i just bought a Chimei 22" LCD monitor off newegg. (good deal, monitor isn't that bad, was expecting better). but here's the problem, i bought for the reason it had 2 inputs (1 vga, 1 dvi) I have my computer going DVI(digital) and my xbox VGA(analog).

When I'm at my computer it WILL let me switch to my xbox
(digital to analog)

But, when I'm at my xbox it WONT let me switch back to computer
(analog to digitial)

does anybody know what the problem is, please help!!:(

That is the exact monitor I was planning on getting, and I was planning on hooking an Xbox 360 up to it.
How wasn't the monitor what you expected?

i also have a TV BOX. is yours a Stand-alone?

i am just in analog right now but plan on switching to DVI when i get a second monitor... but when i switch between my TV BOX and my computer i have to turn off the TV BOX... you dont have to turn off the Xbox, but just power down tour TV BOX... if the TV BOX is not on, you will only be recieving a DIGITAL input and the monitor should fix itself....

you gotta do alot of tweaking with the settings to get to look good, it lacks of color, and it lets me switch DVI to VGA, but not VGA to DVI..

i just want to know the solution for this

but, for the price and if you know a thing or two about getting a good picture, the monitor isnt that bad.

yea im sort of having the same problem, in order to get a signal from my computer, i have to turn my xbox off (vga), then restart my computer (DVI) ..its just a pain to do and not worth it.

I have same monitor, I let my old roomate borrow it once. He did the same thing you did cept he didn't have any troubles... sorry I can't help. Maybe something in the manual?
