Computer getting old, needs replacing, Advice wanted

I think I will go for:

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FS-077-OK

With the RAM upgrade however I need a decent monitor & speakers to go along with it any ideas?

As far as the "choose your case" is it just cosmetic or does it have an actual purpose with the dearer ones?

Would I be better off with my current OS (XP Standard) & upgrade to vista when it improves?

My mouse & keyboard are not USB will this cause a problem or will I need a new set?

LG's are good monitors, IMO. That price is average. Samsung, Acer, Viewsonic and Asus also make great 22" monitors. Some other models to consider would be,
Acer - P223W-D
Samsung - SM-223BW
Samsung - SM-2263DX
Samsung - SM-T220
Viewsonic - VLED221wm

Yes, I agree. If you will be gaming then I would go with that LG or the Samsung - SM-T220. I would personally chose the Samsung over the LG but it is also more expensive.

Yep, if it was up to me then I would go with the better of the two regardless of the price. But I just wanted to let "Rise" know ahead of time that the Samsung was more expensive. Samsung makes a better LCD monitor than LG does and that is also why they are more expensive. You get what you pay for. However, "Rise" if you will not be gaming then I would recommend the Samsung - SM-223BW.

RAM: 2 x 1GB RAM is the standard and can run PC smoothly. 4GB is better, but if you go for vista ultimate, then, go for 4GB

Case: Antec 900 is a good gaming case. Don't need to change unless you don't like its look.

OS: you'd better buy the OS now. coz OEM vision is usually half price of that retail, and you only allow to purchase it if u buy with some hardware.

Speakers: it depends how big is your room and what kind of speakers you like.
For 5.1 - Logitech Z-5500 is one of the best, while Logitech X-540 is one of the most popular choice

LCD: I currently own samsung 2232BW, and I am quite happy about that.
Also, you could consider 22" LCD TV if you want to watch TV with your monitor.

By the way, I suggest you could consider order other monitor/speakers from ebuyer coz they usually cheaper.
