Losing Connection

Alright, so here's the problem. We're connected to the Internet. The bottom right icon has the blue balloon. All of a sudden, we lose connection. Icon in the bottom right now has an "X" and the Network Sharing Center shows no networks available. Normally, there are five or six available so I know it's not my router or modem. It has to be something with my laptop because the only way to connect again is to restart my computer. As soon as I do that, I have no problems at all. I connect just fine...but this happens 3 or 4 times every day. It's getting frustrating, especially considering this was bought in November of 2007 (not very old at all and still under warranty). Anyone have any ideas as to what it or and what I should do? Thnaks for your help guys.

Maybe you need to change the wireless channel number, where it actually uses different frequencies to what is circulating the neighbouring area.

Just imagine a circle, and your router is in the center of the circle which is radiating your signal out, you could be positioned on to another router that is radiating its signal in to your zone by using the same frequency, therefore both connections will be lost... or errored!

Consult your router manual to see how you can change the channel number within the router settings.
