Is now The Right Time To Purchase A Graphic Card?

I have been dying to purchase Crysis the day it came out (currently using an 8600GT).

I am very close to buying an EVGA GeForce 9800 GTX SSC card. nVidia is constantly releasing newer revisions of cards, and I am debating if this is the right time to make a purchase. There are rumors of the 9900 being released by this April, however, rumors are rumors. TigerDirect is also offering FREE ground shipping for this weekend only. Not sure what to do. :(
 
Id say go for the best on the market now, waiting all the time may pay off, but once that item comes, another one would come along which would be better I am afraid. SLi 8800GTS 512MB is great if you can go SLi, if not, then the 9800GTX is your man!

Thanks I appreciate it. Newegg is running a special with the 9800 GTX's, you get a 750watt Corsair PSU for $40 off. How can you possibly go wrong.
 
The 9800's are just a marginal improvement on the 8800's, but the 9900's are expected to be significantly better. Same with the ATI 4800's.
