I chose Acer and HP. Mainly cause I've owned an HP, it worked awesome for 3 years with no problems whatsoever. I currently own an Acer, had it for a couple months now, no problems so far. If Dell was on the list I'd chose it too.(for laptops at least)

Dell is good for the basic PC user that does not know the inner workings of a computer.

I find that HP and Compaq suck more than Dell. At least Dell provides FREE phone support even after the warranty is expired.

I agree... although HP has been pretty good too. The thing I like about companies like DELL is that they are just designed to work... of course sometimes they do have problems, but every computer (including self-built) is bound to have a little problem. Geeks can build there own computer, but what are people who are nearly computer illiterate supposed to do?

If you are going to buy HP, please do yourself a favor and buy HP business class. Typically the same price for a better machine, and their desktops I think come with a 3 year standard warranty.

HP and compaq are pretty much the same! I believe I posted in this before but, anyways I voted for HP. I love my HP and im having fun upgrading it. It's a Sleeper. LOL
