MAC on a Windows platform?

I literally HATE Vista now... I'm sick of it. It's so buggy and I just wanna get rid of it. I could downgrade back to MCE but I'm starting to get bored of Microsoft as a whole and wondered if I'd be able to install Mac onto my Windows laptop? or will I need a Macbook?

It is a direct violation of Apples Terms to install a mac os on anything other than a mac system. so yes, you will need a mackbook or other apple computer. but, you can get linux, and customize it to look/feel/function simalerly to OSX.

You can buy a macbook and install windows on it but it's illegal to install Mac OS on a windows based laptop - i found that out in my own thread about this... but many people to it :rolleyes::rolleyes:

P.S. I am not in any way, intentionally or unitentionally, implying or promoting doing a "Hackintosh" project. I am only "shortucutting" the process of finding this informatioon your self via google. And personally, i wouldn't touch participating in a "Hackintosh" project with a 50 foot pole. But, I am not the one doing it, so haha. :P

You are still pushing the rules way too much! Mods will be here anytime to cancel this one just as the same thing that happened last time someone posted crap about this.

Why such problems with Vista? I have no problems at all and im loving Vista! If you cant get Vista to run right than thats your prob and not Vista's fault! LOL

I agree

One huge problem with Hackintosh if thats want u wanted to do is updates

One update can mess the whole thing up

If doing this put onto a different HDD then your other OS

little pet peeve of mine.....

It is not MAC, it is Mac. A MAC refers to Media Access Control address, and Mac refers to Macintosh. Sorry to be picky, but it bugs me; in the same way that the word irregardless does as well. I try not to correct people but sometimes I just have to do it. It is one of my pet peeves, and every now and then I have to indulge it.

I suggest you buy a Mac if you really want to run OS X, or look into Linux. While the OS X x86 project does in fact work, it doesn't work nearly as good as native OS X on an actual Mac.

I'd recommend that you look into Ubuntulinux http://www.ubuntu.com/

I don't think you'll be disappointed... I use it as my main OS and I really like it. I'm guessing that if you're willing to switch to OS X you would be willing to switch to Ubuntu. You won't be disappointed with the desktop effects either... it's really cool. ;) The only thing I don't like is the graphics (icons wallpaper and the theme), but that can be changed VERY easily so it's not a big deal.
