Do you guys think this is a good build for a gaming computer? Do you think there are gonna be any issues between these hardwares? Do you have better recommended parts you would like to suggest? Do you know any hardware that are the same in quality and performance, but cheaper then the ones I listed above? All help would be appreciated.

Extra Information: I will mainly be using this computer for gaming purposes. I do not play high-end games. I play games such as World of Warcraft, Call of Duty, Counter-strike, Warcraft 3, Bioshock, Cabal, etc. I am trying to achieve a build that would maintain at least a constant of 60+ FPS on medium-high settings. I will upgrade my video card if I find it necessary to achieve my 60+ FPS goal. I am trying to keep my budget around $500 (USD).

Get a LG drive instead of a Lite On. It will utilize 4 GBs but will remap some physical memory space for hardware. So the system will have alittle over 3gbs of usable memory depending on your hardware.

he probably has 32 bit, 64 bit XP was never any good and is far less popular.

so no do not get 4gb, 2 is good.

ya i got 32 bit. I dont think it can make use of 4 gb. I dont really need that much anyways.

So what do you guys think of my build?

well i have 64 bit ( i think ) SP2 and have never had problems with it :) otherwise the build is good i suppose.

nothing wrong with Lite-ons

ive had 2 and they still run strong today :)

Well I,ve bought all kinds of Lite Ons over the years. They used to be my number one drive up untill a few years ago. But in the last couple of years the LG drives have been more dependable. I have a stack of Lite Ons that I,ve had to replace for customers because of snapped drive door belts. There quality has gone down hill.

i know you already have the video card, but if this is for gaming you may want to consider getting a new card. The 9600GT has some great prices right now, as do most of the 8800s.

i have heard that they 9 series aren't very good  but i think the 8 series are better at the momment  :o

Mobo get GA-EP35-DS3L instead

Ya i was looking at this board. Looks like a nice board but I'm afraid to get it since its a Dynamic Energy Saver and I'm afraid it wont run at full power while I'm playing my games. I was thinking about getting a different motherboard though then the one I listed. Any ideas? What do you guys think of the XFX or EVGA 680i?

Ya I considering getting a new GPU. I was either looking at the 8800GT or the 9800GX2. I don't think my budget can fit it right now though so maybe some time in the future when the prices drop.

Oh does anyone have a suggestion for a case. Now that I actually read the reviews for the case that I listed, I do not really want it. I want it to have a decent cooling system and enough space to actually work in. Nothing taller than 20 inches. I also don't want it to rattle around and make noise while its on, and I don't want it to be made of cheap plastic that easily break. Any suggestions?
