Which HDD is better?

This topic has been beaten into the ground. You might want to read a couple of threads in this particular forum.

To summate... The amount of cache is the least of your worries when considering a drive purchase.

Hey All,
Just trying to get some opinions on these two Hard Drives.

Western Digital:

Seagate:

I like that the WD has a 16MB Cache.

I've had lots of problems with Western Digital in the past unfortunately. I've got a WD and a Samsung in my desktop right now and I've got a Seagate in my laptop. Every now and then I will hear a click from the WD, I've had no problems with the Samsung, I'm running them together in a raid 1. I just got the Seagate for my laptop a few weeks ago.

If I were you I would stay away from WD until their quality control gets a lot better. I'm gonna either go with Samsung or Seagate for awhile myself. Stay away from Hitachi as well.
