Which Anti Virus software would be good for a computer with these Specs?

Hi

I got a laptop with:
Intel Celeron M 1.50ghz
760MB of RAM

What anti-virus software would run well with these specs? I tried avg and it made it go wrong. Some anti virus software makes computers slow if they don't have enough specs.

That computer will be fine for any virus scanner out there. I recommend Avira AntiVir Personal Edition Classic, its free. I run it on all PCs from a 700MHz Celeron - 512MB RAM to this PC.

I looked @ the reviews on amazon UK and it says that it has got bad customer service. What about bit defender? Will that be fast on my laptop?

I recommend you to use Kaspersky. It used not much memory and it is the best antivirus software out there...

+1

best free AV out there. If OP wants to spend $$$ Kaspersky or Nod32 are great..

Depends on its version, I mean whether you use kaspersky antivirus or internet security... if kaspersky antivirus, I think it only use memory around 20mb...

I have removed it becuase it was slow at startup. I don't know which one to pick for my XPS M1530. I shouuld be using Norton 360 but I'm not using Norton 360 because it's not really an anti virus software. I could download AVG on my XPS but I'm not putting it on my Microlite 3 because it's only got the specs at the top of the page and it made the icons on the taskbar disapear. I haven't trried the other one but I might download norton anti virus because I know that norton works very well on both of my laptops.

I'm using Norton 360 on my dell XPS M1530 and NOD32 Anti virus on my ergo. I got a license with norton 360 which ends in October. NOD32 is only a trial.
