s video cable

the s video cable I got works fine on two tv's I have but when I connect it to two other tv's upstairs the display on the tv is black and white. I got the cable so I could use it on the upstairs tv's, I have been through all the regions in the ATI CATALYST control centre but just can't get any colour, sound and picture are fine.
Any ideas please:confused:

It is most likely a problem with the S-video port on the TV. Do you have another cable you could try or another device such as a DVD player your could hook up to the TV via S-video to see what the problem is?
