Hey everyone! I thought I'd give a little variation to the forum by not forgetting about the other meanings to the word "forum," which does in it's truest sense mean "a gathering of people with a common interest"; and to share my excitement with my new PSU!
Before I tell about my new one, let me share my experience with my previous one. I had a 2006(maybe 05) Gateway computer; it resembled nothing of it's original (stock) self, except for the radiation (heat, of course) from the PSU. Depending on the weather outside, I could've made weather reports that revolved around the heat output. "Today a high of 97 @ 3PM, with a low of 88 @ 10PM." -- In essence, my room was always intolerably hot! So warm that the heat could be felt down the hallway from my room.
I had known for a long time that I had to get a new PSU, but figured that with an increase in wattage, that would mean an increase in heat and sound. I couldn't have been more wrong! I have the ABS Tagan BZ900 -- ~3x more power than my stock one. I can very rarely feel heat build up in my room, and it is so much quieter. The power is plentiful, and it is E-80 certified!!
This is nowhere near my first aftermarket part for my comp, but it is my favorite addition yet. This addition has made my computing experience much more pleasant

Please share similar experiences where your expectations (relating to computers) were blown away (or highly exceeded).
