Fax to Email?

Hello guys and girls.

I would like to get rid of all my company fax machines and get them come in on email for example i have a fax machine in each department for many users. I know i could create a mail group for them to all look in but how can i get the fax number to come in to email any ideas.

So basically you want the system setup so if someone sends a fax to a given number, that instead of it going to a fax machine it goes to someone's e-mail? You would still have to pay for each of the phone lines, but what you may want to try is using a service such as E-Fax, which redirects all faxes from a given number to an e-mail account.

I haven't looked into their services, but they may be able to offer some form of fax forwarding.

E Fax seems a bit spendy if you will be sending a large volume of faxes. You might take a look at Hylafax.

I want control over the fax commucation such as rather then a company direct it to a email it comes into a fax server and then i can set rules so the faxes are then delivered to a email account. I have exchange server 2003 and a good realionship with my telephone line supplier so just now need to know what software or services there are to get the solution i want in place.

Hi, to your case, I will recommend you the joyfax server. You can set up the routing rules and then forward the incoming faxes to the email accounts automatically.
Maybe you have found a solution, anyway, just a suggestion.
