Computer Case?

???

I know that link is a buying or something kinda place but i am just showing you a picture of my computer.

Sorry about confusion.

Dave

well the thing is what parts you have and if the parts will fit in the computer and if a power supply is needed. It is difficult with these sorts of things because they have different parts in then.

Mr. Dave, any of those case form factors will work EXCEPT MicroATX. If you live in the U.S., newegg.com is a great computer parts shoppping site. They are the cheapest I have ever seen, and there customer service is awsome. What Cohen was saying is that you might also need a new PSU(Power Supply Unit). Google is your best friend and mine when it comes to learning about computer hardware. Most cheap cases come with new PSU's, but they aren't very stable. I would just get a new case, and keep the PSU that's currently in you're Dell. Also, I can't find it, but somewhere on this foum is a thread where someone made a picture guide to buillding a pc. it might help you out some. also, in the forum sections, read all the 101's you think you'll need.

Before you change the case, make sure your warranty already expired, or you may lost your warranty due to changing the case.

Aren't Dells made so you can only use Dell parts and stuff like that, so you might not be able to do your swapping of cases? I might be wrong, but when I wanted to upgrade my old desktop (8300) I had to worry about if things would fit or not. I may be totally wrong here though.

Well i was thinking the same thing...... because of the different back panels.... and depending on how old the computer was would depend on what parts are being used....

I'm amazed no one noticed it or cared to research about it. Hopefully he hasn't gone out and spent all that $$ yet...
