Should I go ahead and download it for my laptop? What fixes did it include? And are there flaws to it?:confused::confused:

hmm well i downloaded it and installed ages ago on Vista home premium 32 bit and tbh it made my system slower,i done some memory write tests via Everest and my memory read speeds went up as i compared before and after but apart from that i dont see any point installing it :D

when i first downloaded it i couldnt use my tv tuner and my dvd drive went really slow and ineffective. ill try again haha :0

so. it's not a must to download it right now? i don't want it to mess up with my system, i only have a gig of ram on my laptop.

its not slow. i just can't have a lot of apps on. i had to disable the sidebar. :P
it becomes slow when i have to work in Macromedia Flash, I get a lot of Not Responding on there.

i will add RAM soon. it's pay day today here! :D

Well SP1 was included on the disk I bought so I wouldn't really know if it would've made any difference to the OS or not. But what I do know Vista runs very fast on my computer. Even with Norton 360 running in the background.

My computer idles at around 875MB of Ram used. So let's just say just under 1 gig of ram is used. So I wouldn't recommend anyone getting Vista if you've got 1gig of ram or even 1gig of ram and a half. I'd buy an extra gig of ram before you get Vista.

No problems here with it! Some bugs were fixed for me and surfing in media player 11 seemed to be faster after the install of SP1.

The only performance difference between the shipped and SP1 version is that with SP1, hard drive performance (read/write) speeds have increased, and viewing folders/files over the network is now faster. The rest are mainly just hotfixes and security updates.

Although SP1 does include DirectX 10.1
